This notice explains how Kinetic Console Journal Co., Ltd. (“we”, “the journal”) handles personal data when you read this site or send an inquiry. It is written to satisfy Taiwan’s Personal Data Protection Act (個人資料保護法, “PDPA”), which applies to the collection and processing of personal data in Taiwan regardless of whether you are a Taiwanese resident.
What we collect and why
Inquiry messages. When you submit the contact form, we collect the name, email address, optional phone number, subject and message you provide, together with the date and time of submission. The legal basis is your consent (PDPA Art. 15–16) and our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry. We use this data only to read, reply to and file your inquiry.
Consent preference. Your Accept or Reject choice from the cookie banner is stored in your own browser under the key kinetic-console.digital.consent. No personal data is sent anywhere when this choice is saved; it never leaves your device.
Server logs. The same-domain server that receives form submissions may keep short-lived access logs (IP address, timestamp, request path) for security and abuse prevention. These logs are retained only as long as needed for that purpose.
What we do not collect
No analytics runs on this site. There are no Google Analytics, GA4, Google Tag Manager, advertising pixels, or third-party measurement scripts. We do not build behavioural profiles, sell data, or share data with advertising networks. No analytics or third-party tracking runs on this site.
Where your data goes
Form submissions are sent only to the same-domain handler at /api/inquiry on kinetic-console.digital and are used solely to respond to your inquiry. They are not passed to any third party.
Retention
Inquiry messages are kept for as long as needed to resolve the conversation and then for a reasonable period to keep a record of the exchange, after which they are deleted. If you ask us to delete your data earlier, we will do so without undue delay.
Your rights under the PDPA
You may request access to, a copy of, correction or erasure of the personal data you have sent us, and you may withdraw your consent to further contact at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email info@kinetic-console.digital or write to the address above. We will verify your identity before acting on a request.
Security
Inquiry data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to stored inquiries is restricted to the journal’s editorial staff.
